Ok the protests yesterday; Firstly I want to say thank you to everyone that turned up and made the effort yesterday. Fans from Yorkshire, London and Scotland joined in so well done for making your voices heard. Some of you will have noticed or heard that the BNP turned up yesterday about an hour before our protest. They certainly wasnt invited by any supporters group and were outside the BFC hotel protesting about sharia law and paedophiles. I didnt realise they were BNP at the time and thought it was something to do with an anti rape campaign etc. So I went to speak to them to ask why they were there and in particular outside the hotel. They were very vague in their answers and seemed a bit on edge and were in a rush to get off into town so I couldnt really get much out of them. Now on to our protest. Im not going to lie only 150-200 turned up to protest which was really disappointing considering there was 1000 fans put in a fb group. Im struggling to understand why I see people on my fb,Twitter and the forums fed up of kokos policies moaning on a daily basis but then dont seem to want to protest. For years people have asked the question well theres nobody that will take it off the oystons. Yet last week a very rich Latvian gave us all hope when he publicly stated he wanted to buy Blackpool fc. So yesterday we should of been showing him how much we wanted change(they have been watching our protests and they do get updated by us) whats to say after yesterday theyll be looking at the poor turnout and think well theyre not really wanting change are they and just decide not to make that bid? We as a group of fans have let ourselves down badly yesterday. It was a very rushed protest but it was one we felt we had to do asap given what happened with Belokon speaking in the mail and then the sacking of Riga. Was it too rushed to be effective or do people simply not care? So lets have some feedback or even some constructive criticism on what went wrong and to ascertain why people arent joining us on mass? We saw lots of fans wearing Oyston out scarves walking past, looking over but then not joining in. Is it apathy, fear of been banned or do you not feel change will happen so whats the point in the protests? On a personal level I honestly felt like giving up yesterday as Im putting lots of my own time and effort into this when really I should be looking for work. Im glad I got a lot of encouragement yesterday to my face and messages otherwise Id of honestly thrown in the towel. The only positive from yesterday was the BST meeting. A great agenda as always and some really passionate fans in that room. Keep up the fantastic work. Oyston out Belokon in
