Okay, I normally dont post personal things on Facebook, but this I cant help... if this helps just one person see things differently, it is worth it. Today, while shopping at Meijer for some last minute dinner items, I ran into someone I havent seen in years. Anyway, she looked like she aged about 30 years in the mere 10 years or so since I had seen her. She starts explaining to me about how she went through this rough divorce and how her and her ex-husband dont see eye to eye on anything where the kids are concerned. She also said that he is married and the kids are always telling her after they return from their fathers house, how his new wife treats them horribly. Now, I know that kids sometimes take things and make them appear much worse than they are, but from how she made it sound, this lady really is a piece of a work. I kept thinking to myself how grateful and lucky I am that my ex-husband and his wife and Dave and I work together on every aspect of our kids lives. I tried telling her that maybe it wouldnt always be that way, and that someday maybe he would see that the kids are going to be the only ones who suffer, but she is going into 4 years since her divorce and they still argue over everything... Anyone that knows our divorce story knows that if we (all 4 of us) can get over things and move past things, anyone should be able to. I hope that things work out for her and her kids.
