Okay full time RV travelling update. Left NC 11/4/13 to Hun tington Beach SC for 2 nights, then Arrowhead County Park GA for 2 nights, the to friends in Alabama for 2 nights. This was the rest before the long haul. AL to TN to KY to Il to MO to KS for a quick overnight stay then on to IA and finally SD for 2 nights to establish residency- a good plan for full time RVers that NC doesnt offer. After 2 nights/3days we began the trek south to our winter destination-SD to IA to MO to KS Emporia Campground for the night to OK to Texas with a night stop at Wagon Master RV site which had alpacas -cool . At present we are at Summit site which is almost like the Ashville NC are- we are in a valley and the deer will come up to camper, we have also heard coyotes. Anyway here for a few days so we can drive 30 minutes drive to San Antonio Texas to take our gate guarding test and be assigned to a gate which is our goal for now. It was a long haul but the changes in the country side have been fantastic. Rollacoaster hills, flat lands for miles and miles, the giant windmills, various sized oil rigs and what seems like a thousand pretzel twisted clover leafs. When they say things are bigger in Texas they are not kidding. Most times we simply cooked and ate in the camper but one trip out for dinner and we could have shared one meal serving and still had take home. We passed Walmart/ Dollar General & auto supplies Distribution Centers in Texas that are about 25-30 times the size of Walmart in either Greenville or Washington NC.
