On 11/28/2014 at approximately 0158 am Berlin Police Department was dispatched to the area of Clementon Road and Franklin Avenue for a report of a burglary in progress. At this time, dispatch advised responding officers that the caller was actively watching a subject attempting to gain entry to his neighbors trailer. Upon police arrival, the caller advised officers with a description of the suspect that he had fled the area on foot. A perimeter was set up by Berlin Police Department and Berlin Township Police Department. At this time a Berlin Police Officer was on foot and observed the suspect who matched the description the caller provided climbing a fence in the rear yard of a residence carrying what appeared to be items taken from the trailer. The Berlin Police Officer identified himself to the suspect and advised him to freeze. The suspect then dropped the items he was holding and ran on foot. A short foot pursuit ensued and the suspect was lost. With in minutes officers located the suspect hiding along trash cans of another residence. The suspect was taken into custody with out incident. The items stolen from the trailer were returned to the owner who positively identified them to be his which were secured in his trailer. The suspect was arrested and remanded to Camden County Correctional Facility for charges of Burglary (2C:18-2A(1), Resisting arrest by flight (2C:29-2A) and possession of burglary tools (2C:5-5A). A special thanks to agencies from Berlin Township, Clementon, Pine Hill, Voorhees, and Gibbsboro Police Departments who helped make a quick and safe arrest of a burglary suspect. Arrested: Jeremy T.
