On July 6, our Principal Podiatrist Chris Angel will run the Goldcoast Marathon to raise funds and awareness for Arthritis & Osteoporosis Tasmania. Its a big deal to us. Its amazing to think how far hes come since first being diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis around twelve years ago - he could barely walk at times (ironic for a Podiatrist!) but with good medical management and a sensible approach to a healthy and active lifestyle he has come a long way. He started cycling to try to help manage the adversities of his condition and over time went from being relatively unfit to being a dedicated road cyclist and, more recently, runner. Arthritis and related musculoskeletal conditions affect one in five Tasmanians, or around 128,000 people. People often assume arthritis only affects the elderly, but more than 100 different types of arthritis affect people of all ages, including children. We feel very strongly about supporting the great work that Arthritis Tasmania do. We would love it if you could help out with a donation! Also keep your eyes on this page to follow the last few weeks of Chris training madness on the lead in to the big day. Please donate if you can!
