On November 16th, 2013 in the small town of Ellwood City citizens were struck with very sad, disturbing & horrific news. Our lost loved one was Richard Thomas Hogue. . He was a hardworking blue collar young man raised with values. A citizen to Ellwood for well over a decade, he lived to love & help others, a man with a heart of gold. He was always the 1st to help family, friends & neighbors in need, the 1st to talk to a friend in a troubled place & guide them to better judgement. Rick had a huge heart & he was never afraid to show it. A ambitious & enthusiastic man, with his entire life ahead of him taken at the young age of 28. He never deserved to meet his fate that early morning or to the hands of an elleged outsider in the act of criminal homicide, nobody does. No family should have to be forced to deal with such a villaneous act that leads to the loss of a loved one. He cherished and adored his friends but the love he shared for his family was tender, compassionate and top priority a father to a son that worshiped him.. A son to a mother left empty & distraught , 2 heartbroken sisters he loved dearly, a stepfather whom feels helpless as well as , he left behind 2 young, beautiful nieces he thought the world of.. not fully understanding why someone would take the uncle they loved so much. Please join us for a benefit in Richard’s honor on may 3, 2014. We will be celebrating his life & bringing awareness to Criminal Homicide & the Victims of it as well as Illegal Firearm Awareness & Gun Violence. All proceeds go directly to Rick’s family to insure that his son will have a comfortable future. ____________________________
