On Saturday, December 20, 2014, The Heads Up! Foundation and our coalition of community partners will host our Inaugural Youth Empowerment Summit. With all the tragedies we have faced with our young people across the nation, what better time is it to bring awareness and knowledge to the youth of our community. This FREE, half-day conference for Dallas area teens ages 13-17, was created to inspire and empower our future leaders of tomorrow. Attendees will participate in interactive workshops, are inspired by motivational speakers, and will participate in a variety of engaging and inspiring teen-led activities. Event participants include professional athletes, celebrities, entrepreneurs, lawyers, educators and other community leaders presenting on a wide range of relevant topics. The Summit format includes small group/panel discussions, hands-on learning experiences, and breakout sessions designed to provide a unique educational experience where participants can develop the skills necessary to reach their full potential in life. The Summit Theme is “Leading with Confidence In Changing Times.” The topics will include: Time Management, Money Management, College & Career Prep, Developing Healthy Relationships, Character Development, Goal Setting, Volunteerism and Community Service. ...and much more!
