On Thursday 29 January 2015 UWS students will be performing at the Gaiety Theatre, Ayr in the world premiere of the new musical ‘The Green Door’ written by University lecturers Stephen Langston and Jane Robertson. The initial concept of the musical was dreamt up in 2011 as part of a PhD thesis by Langston, who wrote the music for the performance, and Robertson, who provided the lyrics. It has developed into a unique one act musical, and is now being produced by the UWS touring theatre company, RAFT (River Ayr Film and Theatre) for its premiere in January.
