On a morning like this, I cant help but think of Robert F. Kennedys remarks following the assassination of Dr. King. What we need in the United States is not division; what we need in the United States is not hatred; what we need in the United States is not violence and lawlessness, but is love and wisdom, and compassion toward one another, and a feeling of justice toward those who still suffer within our country, whether they be white or whether they be black. Im praying this morning for the family of Michael Brown, for the people of Ferguson, and for the greater Saint Louis community. We are too divided as a both a city, county and region along racial lines. If youve never heard or read the text of the speech, I encourage you to take a moment to do so now.
