On the twelfth day of Christmas the lovely lady Miss Rebecca Ferdinano and her baby gave to us Parsvottanasana also known as intense side stretch to conclude our twelve asanas of Christmas! “This asana stretches hips and hamstrings. Its very good for lengthening the spine and can be a nice shoulder stretch /arm stretch if the hands are in reverse prayer (an easier/less intense version is arms taking hold of forearms). This asana stimulates the digestive system, which is great for preparing the body for feasting (on Christmas day). This asana improves balance ( feet inline challenge the balance; feet slightly wider apart from each other makes this asana slightly easier on the balance).
