On the way back from NC the other day I got to witness a true definition of irony. As I was headed down 66 west (70mph highway) a Toyota Prius hit a very large deer at highway speed. The Driver was ok (which was my first thought), but then the irony hit me. I dont think the Prius was too good for the environment, the driver, or the deer. I then watched to see if little elves would show up to clean up the car parts, or maybe it would just melt back into nature. Neither happened and I had to swerve to miss the barrage of deer parts and car parts. I then realized that I need to write a letter to Toyota to petition them to have deployable airbags on the outside of the car to protect animals. All I could hear the rest of the trip was Alanis singing loudly about the irony of the situation. Its like my Prius, when I run over a deer. The pieces, flying out my rear. The Deer, Turned to hamburger. I just wanted to kiss nature I would never wish anyone to hit a deer. It is such a waste of a good deer and car.
