On this day (Nov. 17) in 1980: New York City garage rockers The Fleshtones released their five-track, 12-inch, 45rpm Up Front EP, on I.R.S. Records; it contained originals Cold Cold Shoes, The Girl From Baltimore, Feel The Heat & Theme From The Vindicators, plus a cover of The Rolling Stones Play With Fire; the production was much more clean & polite than the bands incendiary live shows; the record sleeve was designed by lead singer Peter Zaremba; in addition to the bands regular lineup, the sessions featured brothers Gordon & Brian Spaeth (The Action Combo) on saxophones…
