On this fifth day of Hanukkah and Christmas minus five message, my three morning rants are just probably a result of too much caffeine right now: (1) I wish North Korea found something insulting about Annie rather than The Interview, since canceling THAT production would have actually been a service to humanity; (2) Why couldnt nature have been kinder and made Christmas cookies, Hanukkah latkes and jelly doughnuts and all the other goodies as healthy as kale or seaweed. I would just love a universal reversal, and hear you better not each too much kale, have a butter cookie instead; and (3) Despite how many people may disagree now, I can wholly GUARANTEE that in 50 years or so, people will look back on Obama as one of the best and greatest presidents we EVER had...and despite being up against stone-headed and -hearted foes, he got more done, passed, ended, resolved than anyone since LBJ. Including a better economy and lower unemployment (just look at the numbers). Including better foreign relations. including marriage equality. Including immigration reform (which btw was NO different than Reagan and Bush were offering up). Including making sure the future of sane society was protected in the courts. Including health care (with also, btw, was NO different than Romneys model in MA at inception). And for all those who think he has killed our country...first look in the mirror and ask yourself how you really feel about having a black man as your president; and then read true history of the last couple of presidents. And stop for heavens sake watching Fox news and listening to idiots and evaluate the facts yourself. And for the truly hopeless, sorry....its not 1951 and you cant go back, and if you remember 1951 as fondly as you think, you and your mentality will be dying off soon.
