Once AGAIN, the teachers union has decided not to endorse my candidacy. I wear that distinction as a badge of honor. Why would they endorse someone who has already fought to drive out deception and wasteful spending? Why would a group focused only on getting more money endorse a fiscal conservative? Likewise, it makes sense they chose to back someone who already publicly promised raises - without knowing next years financial circumstances. Fortunately, the contest I am in right now is the Calvert County Republican Party primary. Republicans stand for responsible, reasonable approaches to government spending. Thats who I am and what I have done. Teachers and staff know they have a real advocate in me, and thats why many of them support my run for county commissioner - they know I keep in mind their best interests, their students best interests and the entire countys best interests. They know I voted for their raises last year and am committed to a long-term plan to properly compensate them in a responsible way. I dont have the unions support, but I know I can count on those of you who favor responsible government . choosejoe/donate
