Once, I was flying back home from Bangkok, and met a gentleman who was a senior officer of the government of Nepal in the past, as he revealed now he was settled in a western country with a green card. I had heard that it would take time to have green card, but then how did he get it when he was in service in Nepal? I thought but got no answer. He retired, and got pension. Arriving at the TIA, he badly criticized the situation of here, in an implicit sense that Nepalese are fool. Yes, it was bad definitely. But he criticized it not with an anxiety of making it good, but he was a foreigner already. He considered himself Civilized. Country was in difficult situation then as it was just after the conflict. He probably earned a lot from corruption. He had his pension. He probably took all from Nepal to his green card country. His children were there, and he looked clean, nice, best clothed. Here in country, people were dying for absence of medicine. The wealth he was enjoying was earned out of sweats of poor Nepalese. That was my tax, tax paid out of my earning necessary to fulfill my basic needs. These kinds of traitors are in government. They hold green card and take money from Nepal. Let them go, but they cannot whereever they want, but cannot hold position here in Nepal. These types of people need to be charged with crimes of treason, because they cannot hold other countrys loyalty when they are in government position.
