Once I watched 2 girls make fun of a kid at a show because he was excitingly singing along, and jumping up and down to an opening band that not many other people seemed into. That really made me upset, because obviously the kid was there to see the band, just like everyone else, he was just more open to showing it. Theres sort of a thin line between kids acting like idiots at a show, and fanboys. In my opinion, if someone wants to wear the bands shirt to the show/sing as loud as theyd like/ jump up and down, they should have every right to do so. The scene that a lot of this is happening is getting bigger and bigger every week, so naturally more kids who are new to it are moving in. Ive been guilty of judging someone for it. But I think its a little ridiculous to think less of a person for being super into the show/band. This isnt a jab at people who think otherwise. Just some thoughts.
