Once a month - usually on the first Sunday of the month the church that i attend allows the congregation to go to the podium and bear their testimony in front of others. Well, this past Sunday I felt inclined and inspired to go up. I didnt plan on going up there BUT I did! Was it scary, (yes) but I sure am glad I did it. ***** ****Later that night Wes and I were talking about it and he said that some things are naturally easier for me- like going up to bear my testimony. And I said WAIT… no its actually not easy for me. The thing is while I may come across as outgoing and friendly and not appear shy, getting to this point has taken EFFORT. ****A long time ago I told myself that I was just going to DO IT. Yup, go up and introduce myself to strangers, invite people over to hang out, I was just going to DO IT. Sure Im afraid of rejection... but so what…I just figure I dont want to live where Im wondering could of... should of... would of… *****So, then I said to him- Why dont you go do something this week that is out of your COMFORT. And after talking about different ideas - we picked one. I know that with PRACTICE SCARY things will become easier- doesnt necessarily mean its still not SCARY just easier :)
