Once agaiin feel a bit daunted after trying to exlaplain or rather to promote the idea that dogs do NOT plot and plan stuff just to get back at their owners, they do not pee indoors and chew up things out of spite , and so on ( re separation anxiety ) Owner even said she would not be surprised if the dog ( reading the description it sounded like a severe-ish case of SA) did the things she did out of possesiveness, and not separation aniety Also the advice given by some made my blood pressure rocket... This is a dog that will not be left on the other side of the toilet door when her owner is at home, and it was suggested that the owner start practising with short periods of time at first, ie 5-10 minutes O_O : Whew. Also to behave disappointed when cleaning up any mess of chewed up stuff and to then reward the dog if she behaves appropiately i was left wondering what this appropriate might be ?? acting remorseful perfhaps ?? I find such stuff just so frustrating... How do you explain these things to people who dont seem to quite understand what is going on ?? Q´Why do people so cling to the idea of dogs doing things to get back at you ?? :(
