**One of mine as a swimming instructor It was a cool afternoon back in Ghana when my 2 students(mom and daughter) got in just on time for an hours lesson on breaststroke. Daughter was just over 3yrs old. I asked daughter(name withheld) to sit on the wall while I took mom across at the shallow end which was a little over 4ft 7. With my back facing daughter as I was dragging mom along to get her comfortable in the streamline position, I told daughter to sit on the wall and wait! till I get back with mom. She nodded in agreement but she had ulterior plans. Daughter didnt seem to take my word and obviously she was not the one to blame. To my suprise, She was a well submerged. My heart suddenly dropped!! I quickly **freestyled to her rescue and safely recovered her to normal after a CPR. I was 100% wrong to give instructions to a little girl hoping she would comply plus I should have at least armed her with floats. Parents/Guardians, when out with the young ones kindly keep an eye on them than shout instructions because theyd barely take it. The water is calling and their attention pays heed to nothing but the water. I was fortunate my negligence didnt end me in trouble, you might not be that lucky. Karma.
