One of my goals for the year was to have work in a gallery. I haven’t pursued any galleries (because that would involve organizing art rather than making art) but this month it just so happens I will have two showings. The first will be through a submitted work for the 2014 Saint Paul Almanac where they are displaying all of the artwork for the magazine. They will be displayed in the Saint Paul gallery spaces of AZ Gallery and the Black Dog Café from Sept 12th to the 29th. This is a very simple iPad sketch of a St Paul recreation center attached to a wonderful story, but it will be in the company of wonderful work of friends of mine, Roberta Avidor, Ken Avidor, and LisaMarie Greenly among others. The second will be at the NEW White Bear Center for the Arts. I will have a piece shown from Sept 22nd to 28th among the other art teachers. I haven’t decided what that will be yet, but will most likely be one of the iPad drawings. A big thank you to everyone who encourages me in my art. The comments mean a lot to me and I appreciate it. It has been wonderful to get back to my original passion and the teaching is even more fun.
