One of my latest pieces. I trust it be a blessing to you. It Must Count For Something Bad luck must be good company, or at least that’s how it seems, It’s always there besides you; in reality and even in your dreams, It’s like running from your shadow but it never wants to leave, Nowhere to escape except the dark to get relief, Everybody’s always smiling but you’re always crazy rude, No strength to do the work so they call you a lazy dude, Your ambitions are unsure so for now you’re riding low, But it’s like your shoes are made from banana because you’re sliding slow, Now you feel worthless from reminiscing on your past, Hoping for the light, but in the sky its overcast, With all the darkness around you feel like you’re using your mind, You don’t know where to put your feet; a way out you try to find, It must count for something, trust me I know, “Count it all joy…” the Apostle Paul said so, There must be a reason because His words were inspired by the truth, The Holy Spirit of God that lives in him to bear the fruit Some say the Christian life is tough because of all the pain, Indeed persecution is a must, but to die is our gain, Weeping endureth for the night but joy comes in the day, Trials must count for something, so let the Lord have His way, Rodwell E.
