One of my school mates father and renowned scholar Professor Shakeel was shot dead in Karachi today. This tragic incident shows that the life of an ordinary and humble human being is of absolutely no value here. As many of us know that their family has suffered great pain in the not so distant past and now this must be ever so hard to take in. I pray for the affected family and really hope they can recover from this loss. For my friend: your father is a role model for all of us and he is surely in a better place now. May Allah grant sabar to you and your family. Ameen.
