One of the greatest virus in democracy is that once you join either as a candidate or card carrying member of any of the political parties; if care is not taken; you will continue to aspire for one political offices or the other till the end of your life. Apart from that, you will be jumping from one party to another irrationally and shamelessly just to achieve that worldly gain. Assuming you are called upon to account before Allah for the first term of years you have spent, would you be able to render the account of the acts of kufr, corruption, embezzlement, unpublishable comments etc. you perpetrated. Some people even kill to achieve their political ambition. Some, who do not kill; their thugs and herbalists kill on their behalf. Yet, you are still aspiring for more. Even for an individual who did not occupy any political office or the other; accountability is a difficult task, talk more of holding political offices. Do you want to die in this stinking politics? Those who knew how dangerous it is to be a judge, political office holder etc. would not want to die in the process. Even your role as a husband or leader of any group or unit would be accounted for. No wonder, Justice Mustapha Akanbi PCA (rtd) rejected 2nd term offer as Chairman of ICPC. You have a lot to learn in this if only you will be fair to yourself. By-Ibn Abdillah As-sudaisiy
