One of the (innumerable) things I love about the Harry Potter movie series is the casting of a generation (or two) of great British actors. From Richard Harris to Alan Rickman, from Dame Maggie Smith to Shirley Henderson, these movies have been a Whos Who of outstanding British talent. There are a few obvious missing, like Colin Firth, Dame Judy Dench, Helen Mirren, and Hugh Grant, but then, we all know who they are. How many people now know and will watch films with David Thewlis and Imelda Staunton? A new generation of actors have debuted as well, and we look forward to their successful careers.
