One of the most unfair things about an encounter with liars and bullies is that the victim is painted as the monster, while the real monster innocently waltzes away with a smirk on their face. After all of the lies, manipulation, deceit, and heartbreak, they still arent satisfied until theyve deconstructed you as a human being. So they smear your name and character. They accuse you of doing things that they themselves did. You end up behaving in ways you never imagined, in order to defend yourself and your boundaries. You finally snap at the mind-blowing hypocrisy, which the bullies then use to prove how crazy you are, even though theyre the ones provoking these reactions. Your reactions make you a human being. Your heart was doing the very best it could, given an impossible situation. So today, we would like to remind all of you to give yourself a break, and say thank you to your past self for doing the very best he or she could, during the darkest time in your life. The fact that youre here now, learning and helping others, is proof that your past self succeeded. -Psychopathfree
