One of the neatest parts of my job is all the great characters I meet along the way. I wanted to tip my hat today to one of those characters Barbara Hooker, who passed away last Friday. She was a fun, salty, animated person who lived out loud and made every room she walked into the place to be. Ill never forget one night when she was sitting near the piano. After a night of carousing and dancing she announced to the world in her thick Georgia accent, I dont know about yall but Im having one HELL of time! Her absolute favorite song, which she requested every time she walked in the door was Ill Be Seeing You. I even played it for her at her 80th birthday party in Jefferson. So thank you, Barbara for bringing a little light into a dark world. Im glad we crossed paths in this universe, and Ill be seeing you.
