One of the poems that i wrote back in 2003: The House I stand near a stream, staring at a house that once was someones dream. Boards once white, now more cream, a door with no screen, once a shade of green. Shutters once black, now faded gray surrounds a window facing towards the bay. Where someone once stood on a beautiful day, staring across the ocean...miles away. The yard that looked like a postcard, now a mass of weeds & grass. To the North...a gate & some stairs, maybe eight. Just east is a dock, near a cliff of colorful rock. On the South side..a beautiful sight, as the trees dance in the moonlight, and the stars shine so bright at midnight. West...a porch in need of repair. This place is in such despair, for there is no-one left to care. As i stare through my wind blown hair, I wonder Should I dare? Then with a satisfied smile on my face, I decide to make this my place & to erase all the years of disgrace.
