One of the very first horror movies I saw (but only the screened, cut, television version back then) was Friday the 13th. Having the distinction of a very young Kevin Bacon in one of his first movie roles, it was one of the trendsetting movies of the time that lead to most “slasher films” killing off the young cast members after they have committed some sort of sin.
