One year ago tonight we sat as still as could be while scary thoughts raced through our minds and our hearts nearly pounded out of our chests with fear & anxiety. At the same time we paced the hallways, tried desperately to remain calm and to attempt to make necessary plans. Above everything else...we PRAYED. On our knees in the chapel of the hospital...in a circle of friends & family in the ER...we placed our hands on him and cried out to God to heal him. I have felt so tense the past couple of days as the one year anniversary has approached. Our family has certainly seen the ups & downs that life has to offer...and this past year has been quite a journey. Today, we are stronger, closer and healthier than we have ever been before. Im so proud of the strength, courage, faith and determination that Bishop has shown. He didnt give up. Not even when we were told that the odds werent in our favor. He kept on...kept the fight up and battled like a Warrior. October 19th is a date etched in our hearts & minds for several reasons. We have had two major life changing events that have taken place on this date in 2005 & 2013. Im so pleased to say that on this October 19th Holden has decided to get baptized. Have I mentioned just how amazing our God is? WOW! We are so blessed and so very thankful for all of the friends & family that have carried us with love & prayers.
