Opening for Preschool Director The Privette School of Broadmeadow United Methodist Church (privetteschool.org) is seeking an experienced preschool director to serve as our new leader. Our preschool serves children from infants through preschool, plus after-school children, and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. Our new director would oversee the day-to-day operations of the school. Duties include, but are not limited to: staffing, maintaining a master school roster, budget compliance, recruiting new families and staff, ensuring health and safety practices are compliant, and maintaining a full and happy school. Our ideal director will: - have 3 or more years of experience in child care management. - possess a minimum of a bachelors degree in education or other relevant field. - already meet the Mississippi state requirements to be a child care center director as listed on the Mississippi Department of Healths web site. The following skills and character traits are also desired: - Professional and friendly demeanor - Excellent written and oral skill set - Logical problem solver - Customer service driven - Enjoys a project or a challenge - Can work in a team and also be capable of making well-thought-out decisions - Can multi-task and efficiently complete tasks - Flexible, patient, and very knowledgeable about early childhood and the business aspects of a program - Effective personnel management We offer a salary and vacation package commensurate with experience.
