Original request to EPA dated : 2/2/2012 Ticket Details Ticket Summary Ticket#: 23002-291898 Email Notification related to this Question: Always Email Notifications about this Ticket Status: Open Date Created: 2/2/2012 2:47 PM EST Last Updated: 6/1/2014 3:30 AM EDT Ticket Description Subject: how does one make Ma. follow their own lead paint laws? Question: This e-mail is what I sent to the AGO (Ive been in consistent contact with them for for a while and have filed multiple complaints inclusive of ongoing civil rights violations against me and my children our since 2003 lead poisoning at the hands of the CLPPP who passed failing swipes exposing us to more than 15,500+ micrograms of lead dust. I look forward to speaking with you. Ill call tomorrow . I am seeking emergency housing for me, my children and pets and its proven a rather difficult prospect in a state where I feel as though many dont wish for ME to expose them to the public. Have a good night . ------------------------------------------------- Please review this message I have sent state wide to attempt to get someone, anyone down to Castle Green Condos. in Marshfield to investigate the lead paint disaster. The state has evidence there is lead, the management refuses to comply with the lead law(s), and now my family (and our Drs) agree that following our 2003 lead poisoning (when the master state inspector erroneously passed failing swipes and subjecting me , mine and many others to 15,00+ micrograms of airborne lead paint dust.) this set of circumstances is unacceptable and poses enormous health risks. There is NO CURE for THIS DISEASE! The message is as follows: Since when is requesting a lead certificate grounds to be silenced and called SPAM?web1.userinstinct/22147470-castle-green-apartments.htm . Also, may I see the Lead Safe documentation for the following?condogreen/castle.htm. Also- see my recent e-mails sent to mant state agencies in an effort to obtain this documentation. To bad they didnt review thier documentation when I repeatedly asked them... To have one state generated lead certification that is a violation is negligent. Two is beyond comprehension. If the parents of Marshfield choose to remain apathetic after being presented with Ma.gov documents revealing state and federal lead paint violations in their community ( a walk through the woods to The Marshfield High School, The Martinson, and The Furnace Brook Middle School) then please dont say I havent tried to address this and warn them. To whom it may concern, I called to speak to The Dartmouth Group that manages Castle Green Condos. many times. I have e-mailed, written and verbally requested a lead certificate for Castle Green condo buildings. As the state data base has found violations- its clear that Castle Green is not in compliance and this is a hazard. The recent renovations in my building by Board member A.B. were not therefore in compliance with the state and federal regs. either ,as lead safe practices are not in place if there is violations on the property. I have forwarded this as well to Julias school as many of her friends have stayed , played and slept over ;and the potential for lead related illness does not rest easy with me. Please note- From the State data base website Violations Found At the time of inspection there were lead hazard found on the property. The inspection showed areas that did not meet Massachusetts rules for lead safety. Lead paint was found in poor condition (chipping or peeling), or on areas of windows that could make dust, or in areas where young children could reach it. Under Massachusetts rules, these areas must be deleaded if there are children under 6 years old living there. Ive asked the school to inform parents , but Principle Scollins said it was not an issue that would be addressed by them. There is also a conflict between the school and Julias lead claim that I pointed out previously. a member of Dr Irons (Julias former pedi. whom I left as I was very unsatisfied) has family that works there. The day I made the inquiry to Principle Scollins regarding Mrs Irons and any potential conflict of interest- Mrs Irons left on medical leave. All of the errors and conflicts make for a very problematic environment for all. Please call me ASAP. As if the lead Im trying to get out of my kids public schools isnt enough of a headache; today my daughters charm on her mortarboard tested positive with a 3M test kit. They need to be recalled ! Heres an email i recently sent to MA State House and local officials Thank you ! : Posted to Marshfield Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce ~ I advocate for a lead free community. That is being a good business Advocate . Dear Members of The senate, For your review. I have been very busy the last several years attempting to address the lead paint issue in the Marshfield Public Schools. I am a lead poisoning awareness advocate and have made numerous queries to Jim Cantwell, a representative for the Town of Marshfield. This email serves as my formal complaint that he is lacking in ethics and is in my opinion, a poor representative of the people. He may not care about the deadly neurotoxin in his kids school, but I sure do. I am surprised that as a lawyer he doesnt know better. Or , perhaps he does.. In addition to reaching out to him (only to be shoved out of the way by him ; see police report filed with the Marshfield PD.), my lawyer and I have sought answers via the schools Superintendent Scott Borstel, The public school Principles, The towns Board of Selectman, The BOH, The Atty. General, The EPA, The CLPPP, the DPH and countless other agencies . , Childrens Hospital and Social Security have made gross, egregious errors with my case as well. It has become very time consuming and the spin of it all is reprehensible. Sir, I believe it is a matter of ethics me and mine are faced with. For a constituent to receive incomplete or no responses, and to have a representative lash out at them is very dismaying indeed. Attached you will find the lengthy email to the CDC. Lead is a neurotoxin and does not belong in our children s schools. My family and I were exposed to 15,500 + micrograms of lead dust in 2003 (see The Patriot Ledger 3/4/03) when the CLPPP passed failing swipes in a rented unit. My doctor has stated I should be in a lead free environment (see 2012 letter from my PCP). Wouldnt it be nice if going to our childrens school didnt pose a possible health risk for my children, me, the teachers and most importantly the students?! I look forward to discussing this matter further as I am interested in posing a bill to eliminate lead from my town. its taken me years to get this far but my children and their future are well worth it. Wishing you and yours a lead free day (though that may be difficult in light of the fact that your State house tested positive for lead paint also). I am happy to share any and all documents supporting the aforementioned statements in an effort to get the lead out. Concerned about lead in your environment? Go to epa.gov/lead .Thank you kindly for your consideration.
