Orleans residents are reminded that the Orleans Town Water Department is flushing hydrants all this week. This may cause a temporary discoloration of the water. The water is safe for drinking but may discolor clothes washed in it. Residents should flush their systems by running fixtures, including the washing machine etc. until the water clears.
