Orville Stanton 11 minutes ago · Thought for today Luke 1:76 “And you my child, will be called a prophet of the most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him…” As a child of God I have a call like John the Baptist’s--to prepare hearts to receive Jesus. In verses 67-80, we see the birth of John the Baptist and the healing and song of Zechariah, his father. The lesson we learn from the prophecy to John is that, by walking with others humbly and being willing to serve them, showing them that Jesus is the answer to their needs, we prepare them to receive God’s saving grace. Let’s fulfill this great calling and brings new life wherever we go.
