Orville Stanton about an hour ago · Thought for today Psalm 123:2 “As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till he shows us his mercy.” Seeing the nail-pierced hands of Jesus, reaching out to the world from the cross, shows me that the Lord has mercy on me. Such love moves me to want to do anything and go anywhere because of such love. Here we have the Psalmist proclaiming his dependence on the Lord and a prayer for mercy from injustice done to God’s children. Jesus said, “Then neither do I condemn you, Jesus declared. Go now and leave your life of sin.” Let’s go and share such news of love and mercy to a needy world.
