Our 2nd workshop for 2014, Collections Care and Conservation in Small Museums and Historic Homes is taking place on Saturday, November 1, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Lorenzo Cultural Center (Building K) on the Center Campus of Macomb Community College. Mark Gervasi, conservator with the Henry Ford Museum, will be offering his knowledge and expertise on maintaining three-dimensional objects using historic preservation best practices. This workshop is open to everyone and will even be helpful to those of us who have our own personal treasures to care for. Cost is only $10 for Macomb County Heritage Alliance (MCHA) members and $15 for non-members. Pre-registration is required. Please call MCHA President, Kim Parr, at 586-465-2488.
