Our Dynamic Duo is now only one. Our Barkely passed away yesterday, probably from a stroke. He came to us eight years ago and has always been a great friend, companion and protector for Moose and us. More than a dog or a pet, Barkley was like a kid for us. Our house was his and guests were also his guests. The boys could roam the woods and chase around all they wanted. They would wrestle and play, with Barkley teaching Moose how to be smart about dog fighting and many times letting the pup win. This last year, Moose would try to coax Barkley into some wrestling, but Barkley just walked away and Moose would respect that. Our buddy was getting old and having more difficulty moving. We found too that over the years, Barkley had become Mooses protector as well as mentor. Barkley was more than a dog. He had soul about him. We are broken hearted but thankful for the time we had with him. A lesson for all of us, to love while you can before time is gone. Good night, Bark-man. We love you,
