Our Mr Furlong - Another World Swim WHEN AT FIRST YOU DON’T SUCCEED, TRY, TRY AGAIN: MR. FURLONG PART OF ANOTHER WORLD RECORD SWIM ATTEMPT: A little over a year ago, Craig School’s very own, Mr. Niles Furlong was part of a world record breaking attempt by Australian ultra-marathon swimmer, Mrs. Chloe McCardel. Mr. Furlong served as the lead kayaker for Team Chloe which attempted to swim from Cuba to the Florida Keys. The swim almost ended in tragedy as Chloë was stung by poisonous, potentially deadly, jelly fish 11 hours into the swim and suffered severe envenomation from multiple stings to her body and throat. This past week, she confirmed her intention to attempt another World Record swim, this time a 128km open water swim in the Bahamas later this month.
