Our conclusions from the Rio +20 high level dialogues are on their way to the UN Climate Summit in New York where we aim to change the direction of international climate treaties. Waiting for the official summary and too long for Facebook post in any event but short story: The future of sustainability will be defined by cities and from the City of Bogota for inclusion in the final text: Sustainable cities are an essential condition to ending poverty. A final note: Bogota brought their world famous symphony orchestra to play for the delegates at the end of the conference. An amazing experience to hear music played that beautifully. After 4 long days of meetings, discussion, debate we went to an evening at one of Bogotas most famous restaurants which was at least as much fun as people said it would be (and yes, thanks for asking Fraser Institute, we all paid for our own meals and given it was after four 15 hour days, safe to say we were off the clock). A la ciudad de Bogotá - gracias por su políticos progresivos y su hospitalidad. I learned a lot that Im excited to bring back to Vancouver.
