Our economy urgently needs to create jobs, to establish sustainable peace and security. The private sector can do this, if encouraged. Our long term goals must include a role for the private sector to have inputs in education policy and infrastructure investment. During my time in office, we focused in privatising non-performing public assets. Today, those assets are better managed by private sector. Onnes success as the world’s top Oil & Gas Free Zone, after being abandoned by FG, shows the importance of private sector in our economy. The private sector holds the key to a sustainable economy. Government policy needs make it easier for private investors to do business.
