Our friends at Singing Out need you! They are planning the 2014/2015 season and are looking to recruit capable members to the Singing Out Board of Directors. The Board is an integral part to the successful operation of this growing organization, now numbering 130 members. With their new Executive Director, a Strategic and Governance Plan in progress and production of a full season of concerts, outreach Ensemble events, choral workshops and Cabaret events-we are one busy organization. They are looking for someone that encompasses one or more of the follow skills: financial knowledge to assist with treasury work on the board, board or administrative experience in non-profits, marketing, web, social media experience, production experience, fundraising experience and contacts in the business community to advance our Corporate Giving program, person’s with time and willingness to participate in a choir that has become a force in Toronto’s Choral and LGBTQ community! Time commitment estimated: monthly meetings (weeknights), subcommittee work (monthly meetings plus tasks), positions are available for one or two year terms Estimate 3 hours/week on average Non-Singers’ Welcome! You don’t need to sing to volunteer-just join us as a non-singing member (discounted) and you are eligible to participate on the board.
