Our sister Hatice Ersan A proud grandmother, mother and wife, and a woman who is pro-polygamy even after the wests ugly media demonisation of Islam and its values. Hear her story: I am an American all my life for 43 years I was either a Catholic or a protestant I knew nothing of the Muslim faith other than you had a Prophet by the name of Mohammad (SAV). I witness much on the TV of what Islam was supposed to be like. I felt sorry at time for the things I saw. I knew 2 Muslin men that worked for me and my aunt had friends that were Muslims. So I did not know to much about the faith. Then about 7 years ago I went through the worst time of my life my marriage to a monster of a man was failing as my last child finished high school my daughter at university I was so alone death is what I wished for. My daughter set up an account and we chatted back and forth she was my rock! When my son finish school so did my marriage to this monster. Someone looking to learn English found me on the internet, I started teaching him, About a week passed and I asked if he was Muslim? His answer was yes and it started my journey to finding out what Islam was truly about! So many questions were answered by the Noble Quran a book that has been handed down through the centuries! I found direction comfort and a pormosing future in Islam. I decided to become a Muslim and when I did I accepted it all not some but all. I proudly wear and live my hijab and I read and live my life according to the Quran not just part of it all of it. I live my life considering what I can do to improve the lives of others I want to be a benefit to others, If I make a difference to just 1 sister or in the life of a child I will be happy. If my husband is pleased with me that is one of the most important things for me. As a Muslim I want to be aware of the needs of others and help in some way to change a bad situation if Allah allows me to. If we work together and depend on each other and stop the inside fighting we can overcome all obstacles! May Allah Azzawajal continue to bless her and make her a source of inspiration for us all.
