Our students will be on a two-hour delay for students Friday, Jan. 24 because extremely low temperatures are forecast. Teachers and staff members will report to work at normal times. “The extreme cold could mean we have a significant number of buses that have trouble starting in the morning,” superintendent Gene Moore said. “We do not want students waiting outside in the cold for a long time. The delay will give us time to make sure all buses are started and pick up children without delays. “The safety of our students continues to be our priority,” Moore said. “After carefully monitoring conditions and consulting with weather officials, we decided a two-hour delay was the prudent thing to do.” Continue to check our website and local media for further updates.
