Outrageous, sad, heart-wrenching! However, I have little sympathy for police officers, and their plight. If history has shown us anything it is that to effect change you MUST be willing to put all on the line, and this often includes at the most your life and at the least a "clear conscious." To go along with injustice is as unconscionable as making the policies that implement the actual injustice. You are the hands of tyranny, but want to expose those that make these mandates, but it just uncovers the guilt of these same officers that trade honoring humanity for a check, lifestyle, or prestige. If you cannot be dissuaded of continuing your current objective, by the evidence human suffering, and/or you have lost your compassion, there is NOTHING that will pierce the heart to make a real and lasting change. For humanity is the most valuable thing. The change MUST begin with the police officers themselves, and stop looking to the people in command to relinquish the control they possess, and care for the communities these officers live in. Be a soldier in the fight for human dignity, and decency. This speaks to my own lethargy when it comes to justice....I too am guilty. "The unexamined life is not worth living"--Socrates
