Outside at nearly 4 oclock in the morning, the full moons so - TopicsExpress

Outside at nearly 4 oclock in the morning, the full moons so bright its casting shadows all over the place. I had to squint. Cool out here with a nice breeze; the monsoon clouds are marching in formation from the ocean to the mountains, just passing through. We get the stormy weather without the storms and sometimes we can hear the thunder bouncing around in the hills. The moons so bright its almost warm. It makes me wonder if the suns exploded (typical 4 AM maundering) and melted its face and if any minute now the atmosphere will burst into flame and well be just another of the uncounted billions of dead ends the universe is so good at. Hell with it. Go away! I said over my shoulder, heading for the porch--and it did! One small raggedy-ass monsoon cloud broke formation, sailed over and plopped down right in front of it, and the moon turned it silver, turned it gray, turned it a sort of rusty orange before it blinked out and all the shadows went back to just being dark. Ay carajo, I thought, did I do that? am I having a shazam moment? Quick, just in case: The drought will end this winter! I announced to the night. Um, um, and the aliens will land by Christmas! Too late, the moments passed; its all just a coincidence anyway. Cause and effect is really boring, thats why I have these little flights of fancy. Its hot as a pottery kiln inside the house. I had to laugh at my conceit of telling the universe what to do when I cant even make myself shut up. (See? Im still talking about it!)
