Over a year on, its still hard for me to see a picture of Aaron Swartz, who committed suicide in January 2013 at the age of 26, following years of harassment by the DoJ. Mescalero Ryan and Sandinista Jason have combined their transparency superpowers to compel the FBI to conduct a more thorough search into documents related to Swartz - and yesterday, a judge granted them relief and requested of the agency to look harder, and release more. A lot of people have carried on Aarons legacy: by developing SecureDrop, by continuing The Day We Fight Back, but I feel this suit might shed a light on what Swartz really went through - and how far the government is willing to go to silence an intellectual elite not versed into deference
