Over the weekend I released my jobs plan to thousands of voters in the 35th Senate District. The plan consists of four main parts: creating quality jobs, growing small businesses, cutting taxes for middle-class families, and providing world-class education for every Arkansas student. Creating good-paying jobs will be my top priority when elected. When speaking with voters throughout the district, they all tell me they want the legislature to focus on jobs. Jason Rapert has been distracted by issues that don’t create jobs. So my number one priority when elected will be to establish the type of business environment that leads to more economic development. I’ve spoken to the Chamber of Commerce and local business leaders in Conway, and they tell me fully funding the Governor’s Quick Action Closing Fund is the best thing the state legislature can do to spur job creation. Creating tax incentives for small businesses is also a high priority that will aid Main Street businesses. Finally, investing in education is essential if Arkansas is going to create a world-class workforce and entice businesses to locate here. That means expanding pre-K programs to every four-year-old, which will lead to higher high school and college graduation rates, and keeping the cost of tuition low so our new college graduates aren’t shackled with a mountain of debt and can begin investing in their community. The entire plan can be found on the Issues page of my website. jtylerpearson/about-tyler/issues/ Please share this with your friends in the Conway area and let them know there is only one candidate in this race who will put their priorities first and wont get distracted or embarrass you.
