Over the years I’d played nearly every role in weddings: witnessing & officiating countless times. I have 4 biological children--all boys. I never dreamed I’d walk a special “daughter” down the aisle. That changed when I went to China & brought back a teacher to install a Chinese language program from 3yrs.old-8th grade in Friends School in Detroit. Her dad died & she asked me to escort. During a 2 hr. layover in Phoenix I had lunch w Jin Min, husband Greg, & beautiful 4yr-old daughter Sophie, who offered a gift to “Grandpa Dwight.” I hadnt seen Jin Min & Greg since the wedding & was just meeting my granddaughter. It was the best layover of my life. Here’s to love & being loved!
