PACQUIAO VICTORY PART OF HEALING PROCESS – CASTELO Rep. Winston “Winnie” Pacquiao (Liberal Party, 2nd District of Quezon City) today lauded the unanimous decision of Filipino boxing icon and fellow lawmaker Manny Pacquiao over rival Timothy Bradley, saying he did not only vindicate himself from his previous loss to Bradley, but has firmed up what he has described the “healing process” from all those reports about corruption and calamities. Castelo said he has instructed his legislative staff to prepare a resolution commending Pacquiao for his victory over Bradley. “Manny’s victory over Bradley, which has happened this summer, is part of the healing process, the rebuilding activity from all those reports of corruption, scandals, disasters and calamities, which took place during the rainy season,” Castelo said. “Manny’s win is a welcome respite from the drudgery, disappointment, boredom, and hubris, which the Filipino people feel from all those reports of corruption, scandals, disasters, and calamities,” Castelo said. “It strengthens our resolve to face the coming challenges. This is Manny’s relevance to our collective lives,” Castelo said. “Without Manny’s boxing matches, we will all remained fixated to those corruption and calamity reports,” Castelo said.
