PALI HIGHWAY SINGLE LANE CLOSURE WEDNESDAY NIGHT FOR HECO TRANSFORMER INSTALLATION HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises Oahu motorists of a weeknight single lane closure on the Pali Highway in the northbound direction between Vineyard Boulevard and the H-1 Freeway Overpass beginning 11:59 p.m. Wednesday night, December 17, through 4 a.m., Thursday morning, December 18, for the activation of a new HECO transformer. During this time, the rightmost lane will be closed as a safety precaution to allow crane movements necessary to remove the old transformer. Left turns from the eastbound Pali Highway Off-Ramp (Exit 21 A) towards Kailua will not be affected. Roadwork is weather-permitting. Motorists are advised to drive with caution through the work zone area. Lane closure information will be available on the HDOT website at hidot.hawaii.gov, and released through our social media channels on Facebook and Twitter ###
