PASTOR NICK VUJICIC Some say theirs is a disability. Well here’s the world’s most influential wonder in human form. Pastor Nick as he is popularly called is well renowned for his great zeal for evangelism, huge financial success as a stock analyst, an inspiring motivational speaker and cheerful philanthropist, is a man born without lands or legs!!! Born as an abnormal child as many would classify, he was mal-formed in the womb and suffered from Tetra-Amelia syndrome which is a rare disorder characterised by the absence of all four limbs (NO HANDS, NO LEGS). He was born to a relatively wealthy family of a pastor but of what good would the money be for someone without limbs. This posed a major challenge to him. He could neither socialise with other normal kids nor could he go to school like every other normal kid. Challenged emotionally and psychologically, he nearly died at age 8 and 10 yrs when he attempted suicide. Saying to himself “why didn’t God take away my life? My birth is just to feel lonely and excluded, my existence would be a burden to everyone and there would be no future so it is better I take my life now” it was then that an inspiring thought came to him. After seeing a mental picture of his death in his mind, he decided to start living irrespective of his deformity. He sought out to doing things for people rather than for himself then on. At 17yrs, he formed a non-profit, non-governmental organisation dedicated to helping people suffering from several forms of ordeals and disorder in life. Between 10yrs when he attempted suicide and 17yrs, Nick has developed several skills on adapting to his disability and could do many life activates without the support or supervision of any body. Some of which include: • Writing with his toes which formed directly to his waist. • He could type 45 words per minute on a standard computer keyboard. • He could throw tennis ball • He could play drum pedals, get a glass of water for himself, comb his hair, brush his teeth, answer the phone, and shave his beard. • Play golf, swimming and even sky-diving • Organised fund raising events for poor people with disabilities. Nick has written some books like life without limb, no limbs no limit and is an international speaker who has travelled round the world encouraging people. He was the first man ever given the privilege to preach in an aeroplane. He was the first disabled person who schooled among normal people and has won several awards for his works and as an entrepreneur graduating with double honours in Accounting and financial planning with a major grade. In the economic world, he is renowned for his deep intelligence and skill in management. He is now married with a lovely son born on Feb 13, 2013. SO WHATS YOUR EXCUSE??? YOURE NOT EVEN DISABLED AND YOURE SITTING DOWN IDLE IN YOUR HOUSE COMPLAINING OF WHOS HELPING AND WHOS NOT. GET UP, GET OUT AND GET GOING ABOUT FULFILLING YOUR DESTINY BY DOING THAT WORK RIGHT NOW...
